The CRUXWELD CWG-40AD is a diesel welding generator with a 20 HP double-cylinder engine running at 1800 RPM. It gives 60–400 A of welding current for 2.5 to 6 mm electrodes and also supplies 4.0 kW of 230 V power for tools and lights, so one machine covers welding and site power where there is no mains supply.
Fuel consumption is listed at 1.8 litres per hour and the tank holds 14 litres. The alternator uses 100% copper winding with class H insulation, cooling is by air and water, and the engine is hand started, with an electric start option.
The 4.0 kW, 230 V output runs tools such as grinders, work lights, pumps and motor starting, or provides emergency power.
At the listed fuel consumption of 1.8 litres per hour, a full 14-litre tank lasts roughly seven to eight hours. Real running time depends on the load.
