Overview

iTIG250ACDC aluminium TIG welding machine, 250 A multiprocess with AC TIG, AC pulse, spot TIG, DC TIG, DC pulse and MMA
Overview

What is the iTIG250ACDC aluminium TIG welding machine?

Aluminium needs AC. Steel and stainless need DC. The iTIG250ACDC gives you both, with pulse, in one machine.

Aluminium is covered by a tough oxide layer that melts at a much higher temperature than the metal underneath. An aluminium TIG welding machine uses AC current: one half of each cycle breaks the oxide, the other half drives heat into the joint. Switch to DC and the same inverter welds stainless steel, mild steel and copper with a steady, focused arc.

The CRUXWELD iTIG250ACDC adds HF arc starting, AC and DC pulse for thin sheet, spot TIG for tacks and a full MMA stick mode, from 5 to 250 A on a single-phase supply.

  • ACAC pulsed TIGThin aluminium with less heat and less distortion.
  • SPOTSpot TIGTimed tack welds, 0.5–10 s, for repeatable spots.
  • DCDC HF TIGStainless steel, mild steel and copper with a stable arc.
  • DCDC pulsed TIGThin stainless sheet and tube with tight heat control.
  • MMAStick (MMA)Electrode welding 10–250 A with adjustable arc force.
Waveform lab

AC, DC or pulse: which one for your job?

The output waveform decides what you can weld. This aluminium TIG welding machine gives you all three.

ACAluminium and its alloysThe electrode-positive half cleans the oxide; the electrode-negative half gives penetration. AC width sets the balance between the two.
DCStainless, mild steel, copperSteady electrode-negative current for a narrow, deep and stable arc on steels and copper.
PULSEThin sheet and tubeCurrent switches between welding and pulse current up to 500 times a second, so thin metal fuses without burning through or warping.

Question & Answers

FAQ

Aluminium TIG welding machine: questions buyers ask

Can the iTIG250ACDC weld aluminium?
Yes. Select AC TIG: the AC output breaks the aluminium oxide layer and gives a clean, sound weld. Use AC pulse for thin aluminium sheet.
What is the difference between AC and DC TIG?
AC is used for aluminium and its alloys because it cleans the oxide layer. DC is used for stainless steel, mild steel, copper, brass and titanium.
What is the thinnest metal this aluminium TIG welding machine can weld?
Down to 0.5 mm sheet with pulse and low current. The ideal working thickness is about 6 mm; thicker sections are welded in multiple passes.
What power supply does it need?
A single-phase AC 220 V ±10%, 50/60 Hz supply with a power capacity of 6.5 kVA.
What does pulse do?
Pulse switches the current between welding current and a lower pulse current, 0.2–500 times a second. This controls heat on thin sheet and tube and reduces distortion.
Can I use this aluminium TIG welding machine for stick welding?
Yes. Switch to MMA for stick welding from 10 to 250 A, with adjustable arc force and VRD.
Which gas do I need for TIG welding aluminium?
Pure argon. The machine is supplied with an argon regulator and flow meter.
How do I get the price and delivery time?
WhatsApp +91 88008 82983 with your material, thickness and city. Our team sends a GST quotation with the delivery time.
