Overview

Overview

What is the MIG300iW portable MIG welding machine?

The MIG300iW is a portable MIG welding machine with the wire feeder built into the same case, so there is no separate feeder box or interconnection cable to carry around.

Inside is a 300 A IGBT inverter that welds MIG/MAG with CO₂ or mixed gas, gasless flux-cored wire (FCAW) and stick electrodes (MMA). It runs on a 230 V single-phase supply or a 415 V three-phase line, so the same machine works in the shop and on site.

Digital controls show volts and amps, while inductance, crater and burn-back control help you get a smooth bead, a clean weld end and the right wire stick-out every time.

Why inbuilt

One box instead of two

A separate-feeder MIG set is two machines joined by a cable. The MIG300iW is one. Here is what that changes on the shop floor.

Separate-feeder MIG set

Power sourceWire feederinterconnection cable

  • Two units to lift, place and connect
  • Interconnection cable to route and protect
  • Best when the feeder must travel far from the power source

MIG300iW, inbuilt feeder

wire baypower + controls

  • One case and one handle: pick it up and go
  • Set up in minutes: power, gas, torch, weld
  • Fits on a bench, a trolley or a pickup

That is why a portable MIG welding machine saves set-up time on every job. Need the feeder away from the power source for big jobs? See the MIG 300 welding machine with separate wire feeder (CWMIG300iJ).

Processes

MIG, gasless and stick in one inbuilt wire feeder MIG welding machine

The MIG300iW handles MIG welding (gas metal arc welding), flux-cored welding and stick welding, so one portable MIG welding machine covers most jobs in a workshop.

  • MIG / MAG

    Welding with gas

Solid wire with CO₂ or mixed gas for clean, fast welds on mild steel sheet, tube and plate.

You need: 0.8 or 1.0 mm solid wire, gas cylinder, regulator

  • FCAW gasless

    Welding without gas

Self-shielded flux-cored wire makes its own shield, so outdoor and site jobs need no cylinder.

You need: self-shielded flux-cored wire; set polarity as the wire maker says

  • MMA / Stick

    Electrode welding

Switch to MMA on the panel and plug in the electrode holder. Arc force keeps the arc strong for deeper penetration.

You need: the electrode holder and earth clamp supplied

Control panel

Simple digital controls

Every setting on this portable MIG welding machine is on the front panel: two meters, four buttons and three knobs.

The wire feeder sits inside the machine

On this portable MIG welding machine you open the side door, drop the spool on the holder and lock it with the knob. The feeder is right next to the torch socket, so the wire path is short and the feed stays steady.

Rear panel

A portable MIG welding machine for single and three phase

  • Power switch — a rear MCB switches the machine on and off.
  • 230 V / 415 V input — use a single-phase socket or a three-phase line.
  • 36 V heater socket — powers the CO₂ regulator heater so the gas does not freeze on long welds.
  • Cooling fan — forced-air cooling with dust-free airflow for a longer machine life.
  • Protection — overload and overheating protection, IP23 enclosure, class H insulation.

Setup

Set up your portable MIG welding machine in four steps

  1. Connect the supplyPlug into 230 V single phase or 415 V three phase and switch on the rear MCB.
  2. Load the wireFit a 0.8 or 1.0 mm spool in the wire bay, set the roller, and press Check Wire to feed it to the torch.
  3. Set the gasConnect the CO₂ or mixed-gas regulator and press Check Gas to set the flow. For gasless wire, skip this step.
  4. Dial in and weldChoose MIG or MMA and 2T or 4T, set current and voltage, then fine-tune inductance on a test piece.

Question & Answers

FAQ

Portable MIG welding machine: questions buyers ask

What is the price of the MIG300iW portable MIG welding machine?
The price depends on quantity, torch and cable options and the delivery city. WhatsApp +91 88008 82983 with these details and our team sends a GST quotation with the delivery time.
Does the MIG300iW have an inbuilt wire feeder?
Yes. The wire feeder is built into the same case as the power source, so there is no separate feeder unit or interconnection cable.
Will this portable MIG welding machine work on single phase?
Yes. The MIG300iW runs on a 230 V single-phase supply and on a 415 V three-phase supply, 50 or 60 Hz.
Can the MIG300iW weld without gas?
Yes. With self-shielded flux-cored wire (gasless FCAW) the wire makes its own shield, so no gas cylinder is needed. Set the polarity the wire maker specifies; our technical team can guide you on a video call.
Can I do stick welding with the MIG300iW?
Yes. Select MMA on the front panel and use the electrode holder supplied. Arc force control helps with penetration.
What wire sizes does the MIG300iW take?
It takes 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm welding wire, fed at 2.0 to 18.0 m/min by the inbuilt feeder.
What are 2T and 4T modes?
In 2T you hold the trigger to weld and release it to stop. In 4T you click to start, let go and keep welding, then click again to stop, which is easier on long seams.
What comes with the MIG300iW?
The machine with inbuilt wire feeder, a MIG torch, an electrode holder, an earth clamp, a gas regulator with flowmeter and heater, a hose pipe, gas clamps and spare MIG torch tips.
MIG300iW or MIG 300 with separate feeder: which should I buy?
Choose the MIG300iW if you want one compact machine to carry between jobs. Choose the CWMIG300iJ with a separate wire feeder when the feeder has to work away from the power source on large jobs.
