The CRUXWELD table mounted spot welder comes in two ratings, the CST-3 (3 kVA) and the CST-3.5 (3.5 kVA), both on a 220 V single-phase supply. It is built for fine work: mild steel sheet from 56 SWG to 16 SWG, stainless steel sheet from 58 SWG to 16 SWG, and brass, wire and small parts welded to a high degree of accuracy. Made in India.
Welding current is adjusted in 9 steps using 3 primary and 3 secondary transformer taps. A solid-state digital timer covers 5–50 cycles for short welds and 1–10 seconds for longer ones, and weld pressure is set by a spring on the welding head, adjustable from 2 to 80 lbs. The weld only starts once the preset pressure has built up, which keeps results consistent from one spot to the next.
Both share the same welding ranges, throat and supply. The CST-3.5 has the higher 3.5 kVA rating against 3 kVA for the CST-3.
