Overview

Overview

What is the TriPhase 400iS 400 amp single phase welding machine?

The TriPhase 400iS is a 400 amp single phase welding machine for stick (MMA) welding that also runs on a 415 V two-phase or three-phase line.

Many workshops and sites in India have only two lines of a 415 V supply, or a single-phase socket. Most 400 A welders need all three phases. This one gives the full 20–400 A on single phase, two phase or three phase, from the same machine. That makes it the most flexible 400 amp single phase welding machine in the Cruxweld range.

Inside is an IGBT inverter with a digital ammeter, Hot Start, adjustable Arc Force, anti-stick and a built-in voltage reduction device (VRD). Overload, over-voltage and thermal protection guard the machine on long shifts.

Arc Force on the 400 amp single phase welding machine

Arc Force adds current for a moment whenever the arc gets short, so the rod keeps burning instead of sticking. Turn it up for a harder, digging arc; turn it down for a softer, smoother one.

Safety

Built-in VRD for safer stick welding

A stick welder keeps voltage on the electrode holder even when you are not welding. The voltage reduction device (VRD) in this 400 amp single phase welding machine brings it down to a low level the moment the arc stops, and restores full voltage when you strike again.

Question & Answers

FAQ

400 amp single phase welding machine: questions buyers ask

What is the price of the TriPhase 400iS 400 amp single phase welding machine?
The price depends on quantity, cable length and the delivery city. WhatsApp +91 88008 82983 with these details and our team sends a GST quotation with the delivery time.
Does it really give 400 A on single phase?
Yes. The TriPhase 400iS welds from 20 to 400 A on a 230 V single-phase supply, as well as on 415 V two phase and three phase. Use a heavy-duty single-phase line and cable sized for the machine.
How do I connect it to a two phase supply?
Connect the two lines of the 415 V supply to the U and V terminals at the back, as printed on the rear panel. For three phase use U, V and W. Have a qualified electrician make the connection.
What is the difference between the TriPhase 400iS and the ARC400iS?
The ARC400iS works on a 415 V three-phase supply only. The TriPhase 400iS also works on 415 V two phase and 230 V single phase, and adds a built-in VRD.
Which electrodes can I use?
Electrodes from 1.6 mm to 5.0 mm on any supply: single phase, two phase or three phase.
What is VRD and why does it matter?
VRD (voltage reduction device) lowers the voltage at the electrode holder when you are not welding, which makes changing rods and moving the job safer. It switches on and off from the front panel.
Can I run the TriPhase 400iS on a generator?
Yes, it is compatible with generator (DG set) power. Ask our team for the generator size that suits your welding current.
What comes with the machine?
The welding machine, a welding cable with electrode holder and a grounding cable with earth clamp.
