A 200A inverter welding machine that goes where the job is

The ARC200iS is a compact 200A inverter welding machine for stick welding. Plug it into a normal socket at home, a three-phase line in the workshop, or a generator on site, and weld mild steel, stainless steel and cast iron with 1.6 to 3.2 mm electrodes.

Runs on single phase, or on 415 V two-phase and three-phase. Lamps on the panel show which supply it is on.

Step 1

Push the knob until the Current lamp lights, then turn to set amps.

Step 2

Push again for Hot Start and set how hard the arc strikes.

Push again for Arc Force and set it higher for vertical and overhead work.

Use VRD on damp, confined or elevated jobs, then strike the arc.

ARC 200 welding machine: questions buyers ask

Does the ARC200iS run on single phase and three phase?
Yes. It runs on a 230 V single-phase supply and on a 415 V two-phase or three-phase supply, 50 or 60 Hz. The 230V and 415V lamps on the panel show which supply it is running on.
Which electrodes can the ARC 200 welding machine weld?
Electrodes from 1.6 to 3.2 mm, and 4 mm on intermittent work, for mild steel, stainless steel and cast iron.
What do Hot Start, Arc Force and VRD do?
Hot Start adds a short boost when the arc strikes, for an easy start. Arc Force adds current when the arc gets short, so the rod does not stick. VRD keeps the voltage at the holder low while you are not welding. All are selected with the push-and-turn knob.
What does the O.C lamp mean?
It is the protection warning. It lights if the machine is overloaded or overheats. Let it cool with the fan running; it resets on its own.
Can I run the ARC 200 welding machine on a generator?
Yes. The ARC200iS is generator compatible.
How much power does it draw?
Maximum input is 4 kVA. At the currents used for 2.5 and 3.2 mm rods the draw is lower.
ARC200iS or ARC251iS: which one?
Choose the ARC200iS for 1.6 to 3.2 mm rods and portability. Choose the ARC251iS if you want more headroom for 3.2 mm rods at full speed and more 4 mm work.
