The CRUXWELD ARC 200 (CMM-ARC200i) is a digital inverter stick welding machine for workshops, fabricators, maintenance teams and site repair. It welds 1.6 to 3.2 mm electrodes all day — and 4 mm intermittently — from a single-phase 230 V supply, drawing a maximum of 4 kVA.

The ARC 200 rectifies the 230 V single-phase supply, switches it at high frequency through an inverter stage and transforms it down to welding voltage. Because the transformer works at kilohertz frequencies instead of 50 Hz it is tiny and light — the reason a 200 A machine weighs 5.5 kg. A digital controller monitors arc voltage and current continuously and corrects them in microseconds, giving a smooth, stable arc that is easy for a new welder to control.
200 A at 60% duty cycle means 6 minutes of welding in any 10-minute period at full current before the thermal protection asks for a pause. At 135 A — enough for 3.2 mm electrodes — the ARC 200 welds continuously. For all-day 4 mm and 5 mm work, step up to the three-phase ARC400iS.

Choose the ARC 200 if you weld mostly 2.5 and 3.2 mm electrodes, need a machine that runs from a single-phase socket, or carry your welder to the job. If you weld 4 mm and 5 mm electrodes for hours at a time, or have a three-phase supply, the ARC400iS is the better buy.

Use an earthed 16 A single-phase socket; avoid thin, long extension leads that drop the voltage below the −15% limit.
