Keep the Torch Cool. Keep the Arc On.

The CRUXWELD AquaWeld 20 is a portable water cooling unit for welding machines: a 20-litre tank, a 370 W pump with 42 m lift and a copper condenser with fan that pull the heat out of water-cooled TIG and MIG torches, plasma cutting torches and spot welding electrodes and arms. Plug into single-phase 220 V, connect two Ø8 mm quick couplers, fill the tank and the torch runs at full duty all shift — no mains water line needed. Engineered, assembled and tested in India by a GeM Registered OEM Manufacturer.

Overview

One Water Cooling Unit for Every Water-Cooled Torch

Air-cooled torches are limited by how much heat the cable and handle can shed; above about 200 A, or for long continuous welding, a water-cooled torch is the only way to run a small, light torch at full current without burning gloves and consumables. The AquaWeld 20 is the water cooling unit for welding that makes that possible: coolant leaves the tank through the pump, flows through the torch or electrode arms, picks up the heat, and returns through a copper condensing coil where a fan dumps it to air.

Because it carries its own 20-litre tank it works where there is no water line — a fabrication bay, a site cabin or a line of spot welders — and the clear level window and 3 A fuse make it a set-and-forget companion to the welding machine.

Which CRUXWELD Machines Use the AquaWeld 20

Pair this water cooling unit for welding with any water-cooled torch or electrode set in the CRUXWELD range:

Water-cooled TIG torch for aluminium and stainless at 315 A.
High-current AC/DC TIG with water-cooled torch for thick aluminium.
500 A AC/DC TIG: a water-cooled torch is standard at this current.
400 A DC TIG for stainless and carbon steel with water-cooled torch.
500 A MIG system with water-cooled torch for continuous welding.
Cools the arms, holders and electrodes on pneumatic spot welders.
Water-cooled arms and electrodes on the 16 kVA pedal operated spot welder.
Water-cooled plasma torches on high-amperage cutting systems.

Also suitable for other makes of water-cooled TIG, MIG and plasma torches with Ø8 mm coolant hoses. Tell us the torch model and we will confirm fittings.

Set-up

Four Steps to Cool Water

AquaWeld 20 front panel – level window, switch and quick couplers

Front panel: level window, switch, fuse and couplers.
1
Fill the tank
Fill the water cooling unit for welding with distilled or de-ionised water (add torch coolant in winter) to the Max line through the top filler cap.
2
Connect the torch
Push the torch coolant hoses onto the Ø8 mm INPUT and OUTPUT barb quick couplers. Flow direction is marked on the panel.
3
Switch on
Plug into a 220 V single-phase socket and switch on; the pump primes and the level window shows the coolant circulating.
4
Weld
Run the torch at full current. Watch the level window and top up when it nears Min; the 3 A fuse protects the pump motor.
Why water cooling

What the AquaWeld 20 Does for Your Welding

Full current, full duty
A water-cooled torch runs at its rated current continuously instead of derating after a few minutes.
Smaller, lighter torch
With a water cooling unit for welding, TIG and MIG torches are a fraction of the size of air-cooled ones at the same amperage — less fatigue, better access.
Longer consumable life
Cool tungstens, contact tips, nozzles and spot electrodes last longer and keep their geometry.
No water line needed
20 L on board, so it works in any bay or on site where there is a power socket but no tap.
Protects the machine
Stable coolant temperature keeps the torch and power source within their thermal limits.
Quiet and simple
One pump, one fan, one fuse. Nothing to program; easy to clean and refill.

Question & Answers

FAQ

Water Cooling Unit for Welding — Frequently Asked Questions

What is a water cooling unit for welding and when do I need one?
It is a pump-and-radiator circulator that pushes coolant through a water-cooled torch or spot welding electrodes and takes the heat away. You need one whenever the torch is water-cooled — typically TIG and MIG above about 200–250 A, high-amperage plasma torches, and spot welders with water-cooled arms — or when you want to weld for long periods with a small torch.
Which welding machines does the AquaWeld 20 work with?
This water cooling unit for welding suits any machine with a water-cooled torch or electrodes: CRUXWELD TIG 315 / 400 / 500 AC/DC, CWTIG400iJ, MIG 500 water-cooled, pneumatic and ROKR 16K spot welders, and water-cooled plasma cutting torches. It also suits other makes with Ø8 mm coolant hoses.
What coolant should I use?
Distilled or de-ionised water; in cold climates add a welding torch coolant / anti-freeze. Avoid tap water, which scales the torch and pump. The 20 L tank is filled through the top cap and watched through the level window.
What power supply does it need?
A single-phase 110 / 220 V socket, 50 or 60 Hz; the pump draws 370 W (1.3 A). No water line is needed — the unit carries its own 20 L tank.
How much cooling does it give?
The water cooling unit for welding gives 1.6 kW at 1 L/min, with up to 20 L/min flow and 0.48 MPa pressure from the 370 W, 42 m lift pump — enough for a 500 A TIG or MIG torch or a multi-arm spot welder.
Can one AquaWeld 20 cool two machines?
For two light-duty torches, yes, with a Y-manifold; for two high-current torches or a spot welder plus a TIG, use one unit per machine so each gets full flow. Ask us with your machine models and we will advise.
What is included with the unit?
The water cooling unit for welding with pump, condenser, fan, tank, mains lead, Ø8 mm quick connectors, castors and handle and a test certificate. Hoses to the torch and coolant additive are quoted separately.
How do I get the price and delivery time?
Request a quote on this page or message +91 88008 82983 on WhatsApp with your welding machine and torch model. You will receive a GST quotation with delivery time, usually the same working day.
Tell us your welding machine and torch — we will confirm the fittings and send a quotation today.
